A seasoned professional with experience working in urban planning, journalism, and equine consultancy, Tamblyn Borton holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she contributed to the Massachusetts Daily Collegian and interned for Senator John W. Olver. Tamblyn Borton later completed a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from California State University, San Jose, and supported the development of the Institute for Metropolitan Studies as a grant-writing research assistant.
Between 2007 and 2018, Ms. Borton worked in a range of project management and consulting roles, focusing on land use and regulatory compliance. She contributed to environmental and infrastructure projects for organizations including the U.S. Coast Guard and the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency. She also served as a Permitting Supervisor for Star Construction, where she managed telecommunications permitting processes and coordinating with relevant agencies.
Now based in Kentucky, Ms. Borton serves as a Consultant and Equine Farm Specialist. Outside of work, she advocates for animal welfare and is preparing to launch Larry’s House, a nonprofit sanctuary for elderly and injured cats.
